LiL’deviL’s LittLe famiLy

This was our last weekend in KL, well in Penang actually. Went to Penang for a weekend trip with my godparents and godsis. We left a little after noon in the Alphard. Tried to nap Ethan in the car and hoped that he will sleep until we arrive (wishful thinking) but he wouldn’t. I brought his dvd collection because there’s a player in the car and tried to turn one on for him so that he’ll sit still. But unfortunately the player cannot play his dvds because it’s of a different region (shucks!).

Arrived in Penang around 4pm and got ourselves some FOOD taken away to be eaten at home. The Penang Bridge has changed and is changing. I think they’re extending the bridge, yes? I apologise for my ignorance as I’m not really a news reader. I know they’re building another bridge across. Even at our condo area there are so many changes, new condos, new shopping mall (Queensbay). After tea we went to collect the keys to godparents’ new condo unit and went there to take a look. The unit is really big and the balcony faces the sea. The swimming pool is just so inviting. It’s too bad I didn’t bring my swimsuit. No, I didn’t bring my camera up but godsis took some photos on her phone, don’t know if she has already posted them on her blog. Then we went to Air Itam to tapau the infamous (only in our family) economy fried bee hoon. 2nd aunty told us that they are now open on Saturdays. We got tricked! DISSAPOINTMENT! We went for dinner after that at Super Tanker. I was coughing at that time (yes got sick again after the Beijing trip) so not much choice for me. I mean I could eat but certain food just irritated my throat so I didn’t have much. Also can’t really survive in such hot weather without icy cold drinks, which made my lungs worse!

The next morning we went to Air Itam for breakfast (as always!). Sorry no photos again. I’m not much of a photo-taker like sis. It just won’t click in my head that I want to take photos of everything. Anyway, I had wet jawa mee, I would’ve taken the dry one if not for my cough. Got some fruits and kuihs for mum and then went dvd shopping. Eddie got a few TVB series and I got nothing. Then we went to pay mum a visit. It’s the second time Ethan went there. We left not long after because it was so HOT there. I was telling godsis that they should install air-conditioners in there…kekeke…That place is always so crowded during the Chinese New Year and Cheng Beng season, the smoke from the joss sticks could really kill your eyes! We went home after that and took showers and packed up to leave Penang.

My two good friends from Ipoh came to Penang especially to meet up with us because we didn’t spend much time together while I was in KL. We had lunch together. It was about 2pm and past Ethan’s nap time, so he was falling asleep on his booster seat! Godmum took him after she finished her lunch so we can eat. Thanks! We left Penang after lunch. Thanks Ben, Mer and Ryan for having lunch with us in Penang!
