I just came across an interesting topic in the Australian Parents magazine Oct/Nov 2006 edition I borrowed from the library and wanted to blog this down asap. One parent have three boys and was asking the readers for help on how to conceive a girl. Out of 5 replies, 3 of them gave a suggestion they got from a book called How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby the Natural Way by Hazel Chesterman-Phillips. So all of you out there looking to conceive again, and wish to choose a particular gender of your next child, read along. You may have read about this before.
According to the readers, women’s eggs each have one X chromosome but a man’s sperm has either an X or a Y. The Y sperm are smaller and faster but live for a shorter period of time (around 2 days) than the X sperm (around 5 days). So as you can see, it’s all about the timing. If you want a girl, then time your conception a few days before ovulation then stop. If you want a boy, then time your conception on the day you ovulate.
Sounds simple enough. I don’t know about you but since my first born is a boy, I’m definitely aiming for a girl for my next one…hehehe…Happy trying and good luck!

Yes, there are a lot of theories out there on boy n gal. When I was carrying Chloe, all the old wives tales pointed me to me having a boy. I had no idea. So you can imagine the surpirse we got. At the end of the day, it’s nature’s call, as long as baby is well n healthy.
This is the first theory I heard, which seems to be the most logical one. When did you know of Chloe’s gender?

This entry come just in time as we are trying now as you know. I didn’t aware that you had moved. Got to know your new home through The Little Feet. I must said it nicely done.
Ooohh…that’s good! I wrote this post as soon as I read that article hoping that it will help those who are trying now…hehehe… Sorry I didn’t tell you that I’ve moved. Hmm…I thought I left a comment for every blogger I know. Thanks ‘The Little Feet’ for showing one blogger the way to my new site. Thanks for the compliments, I’m not actually done with the site yet, though. It will come through, slowly…hehehe…Lots of other things in my mind now.

We only know of Chloe’s gender when she popped out after a quick labour! It was the best surprise, because we never wanted to find out about the gender till the baby has officially arrived in our arms!
It is a good surprise. So did you get all the unisex clothings and toys? I couldn’t wait until the birth to know the gender…heheh…So we found out during the ultrasound.
